We've all seen the hype around iPhone 4 but is it really better, or just better packaged?
The main attraction for iPhone seems to be the amazing array of apps. But Android seems to be catching up with Windows lagging well behind. Certainly if you want social media apps, the iPhone is where developers are, but will Android take over?
Will Windows 7 make a difference?
What do you think?
For years I've been a fan of the BlackBerry. It uses far less data (which makes it cheaper) and seems better suited to business applications. But my new 9700 is driving me mad!
If I ever look at an sms or an email in the car, it disconnects from the hands-free phone service. And (even worse) any meeting invitations / confirmations / refusals sent through our Windows 7 operating system (and its predecessor) come through repeatedly to my BlackBerry - as many as 80 times apiece!
Is anyone else having problems like this?
to stop you texting while you drive :)
Windows Phone 7 is now released to developers, so we may now get some decent apps - but I'm not holding my breath!
Texting while I drive? I wouldn't dream of doing such a thing!
But - having ensured that the car is Bluetooth-enabled - it's very frustrating when an incoming email or sms automatically ends a hands-free phone call :-(
What I do not understand is this: Why is this problem apparent on my wife's car when there is no such problem with my car?
(I have already dixmissed the possibility that she has done it to dissuade me from using her otherwise fabulous new car!)
I remember hearing about some technology with a voice that reads your text messages aloud as they arrive and also allows you to dictate sms' and simply say "send". Does this already exist? Where can I find out more?
I have just switched to an Iphone 4 from a nokia, the iphone4 is far more useable for online stuff than the nokia ever was.
Windows 7, we have just upgraded our company laptops and they came with windows 7, it is far superior to any previous version of windows. It is far less resource hungry and focusses on being an operating system. I would recommend windows 7 to anyone.
