I’ve heard that companies that used more than 6,000 megawatt-hours of half hourly metered electricity in 2008 need to register their energy use by next month or face fines that could reach £45,000. It’s all down to the Carbon Reduction Commitment initiative, which came into force on April 1. Has anyone heard anything about this?
As far as I am aware, the deadline was the 1st October - there was a six month period to get registered.
All my clients who fall within, have done so.
What is your concern, Phil?
