Mobile working is no longer the next new thing; thanks to advances in IT and connectivity many of us are now living it daily. By 2013, market research firm IDC predicts more than a third of the world’s workforce will be mobile workers with 734.5 million people in the Asia Pacific being mobile.

British businesses which allow their employees a full one hour for lunch are likely to be more productive.

Research by Bupa revealed that over six million British employees are eating lunch at their desks with only 30 per cent taking an hour lunch break away from the office workspace.

Nearly one in five workers want to work from home but are being prevented from doing so by their employer, says the TUC as it offers five reasons for businesses to try out home working to mark National Work From Home Day (Friday 24th Sept).

Implementing business technology does help to promote staff productivity by allowing employees to work to their highest capabilities. Technology permits better team collaboration, easier completion of tasks and good relations with customers. Businesses that do implement the latest technology will have an edge over competitors that do not see the benefits of business technology solutions.
