How will the VAT hike to 20% in January affect you?

Fingers crossed!
Just praying I don't get a repeat of the hassle the last time the vat rate shifted. I got 3 amended invoices for every 1 of my payments from the company that handles the domain names I've registered (lots of them!). My poor book-keeper had to pile through over 100 bits of paper to marry very similar sums debited to their invoice numbers. Apart from that, it's just one change to the rate in QuickBooks.
There won't be much impact on us actually, as most of our clients are exempt from paying VAT due to disability/illness, so in effect these people save even more money in January! The biggest pain will be updating the web site, as we do show vat inclusive prices too. Although I am working on a .cvs upload to do it all in one swoop. www.kingsizepeople.co.uk
